In September 2012 Flint Police took a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the area of Pasadena and Leerda. A recent submission of evidence for DNA analysis resulted in the identification of a suspect. That suspect, Marcel Dixon-Robinson (25), has since been arrested, charged and arraigned for 2 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree, Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration, Unlawful Imprisonment and Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm.

Yesterday afternoon, Flint Police Officers Balasko and Grocholski responded to the area of Ridgecrest and Carpenter for a report of a man with a gun and shots being fired. On scene two victims were located who advised that a male and a female known to them had fired shots at them. The shots did not strike the victims. Officers Balasko and Grocholski located both suspects, a handgun and spent shell casings. The suspects have now been charged and arraigned for the following charges.  Donquia Beavers (34) for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 2 counts of Felonious Assault, Felony Firearm- 2nd Offense and Domestic Violence. April Tasley (26) for Felonious Assault.  Great job Officers!


In May 2011 Flint Police took a report of a Home Invasion in which the suspect robbed the residents and sexually assaulted one resident . A recent submission of evidence for DNA analysis resulted in the identification of a suspect. That suspect, Michael Coleman (34), has since been arrested, charged and arraigned for 2 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree, Armed Robbery, Home Invasion 1st Degree, 2 counts of Unlawful Imprisonment and Felonious Assault.

Yesterday afternoon, Flint Police Officers Balasko and Grocholski responded to the area of Ridgecrest and Carpenter for a report of a man with a gun and shots being fired. Officers Balasko and Grocholski located both suspects, a handgun and spent shell casings. The male suspect was found to be a convicted felon. Both suspects were arrested and lodged in jail. Charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office. Great job Officers!
On 03/23/15 at approx. 1pm Flint Police responded to the 2000 blk. S. Dort for a report of a stabbing. The victim, Telis Simon (41), died as a result of his injuries. Flint Police Officers arrested a suspect on scene. That suspect, James Pearson (61), has since been charged and arraigned in this case for 2nd Degree Murder.

The Flint Police Department is following the lead of several other local police departments and offering the use of our lobby for transactions arranged through online websites such as Craigslist. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for these transactions and to reduce the possibility of fraud, robbery and assaults from occurring.
Please keep in mind that our personnel cannot witness or sign legal documents, mediate, or give legal advice. Our Officers may provide information to anyone concerned about a fraudulent transaction and assure the safety of all parties involved. As a buyer or seller in these transactions, you should be wary of anyone that is not willing to meet you at the police department for the transaction.

On 03/14/15 Flint Police responded to a local hospital for a report of Child Abuse. The victim was listed as serious condition. A short time later, Flint Police Officers located the suspect, who resisted arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and there were no officers injured. The suspect, Joshua Demott (44), has since been charged and arraigned with Torture, Child Abuse 1st Degree and Child Abuse 1st Degree in Presence of Another Child.


On 03/16/15 Flint Police responded to a local hospital for a report of a CSC. The investigation has led to the arrest, charges issued and arraignment of the suspect, Joseph Nickerson (31) for Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st degree - Person under 13, Criminal Sexual Conduct 2nd Degree - Person under 13 and Aggravated Indecent Exposure.


On 03/16/15 at approx. 9pm Flint Police were flagged down by a victim who reported that he had just been robbed at gunpoint near Saginaw and Home St. The victim was able to give a description and direction of travel of the vehicle that the suspects were in. A short time later, Michigan State Police troopers stopped a vehicle in the area that matched that description. Four suspects in the vehicle were arrested and a stolen handgun was recovered from the vehicle. The four suspects have since been charged and arraigned for the following charges, Nian Spiller (16) for two counts of Armed Robbery, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm, Rico Riggs (16) for two counts of Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm, Dominique Smith (17) for two counts of Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm and Daquavius Williams (19) for two counts of Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm. Both Nian Spiller and Rico Riggs are juveniles who have been charged as adults in this case. Their mugshots are not displayed because they are juveniles.
On 03/18/15 at approx. 1:20am Flint Police responded to a shooting in the 1700 blk. Barbara. On scene the victim, Jerry Jones Jr. (33), was found to be deceased. The investigation has led to arrest of a suspect, Arthur Armstrong (33), who has since been charged and arraigned for 1st Degree Murder and Felony Firearm.

UPDATE.... As the result of a tip, William Blake Jr. (50) was arrested on his warrants this afternoon by Mt. Morris Township Police Department and Michigan State Police. Flint Police would like to thank everyone for the likes and shares of the original Wanted Person post that helped to generate tips that led to this arrest.

On 03/08/15 at approx. 10:30pm Flint Police Sgt. Suttles, Ofc. Voelker and Ofc. Suttles were flagged down by two citizens in the area of Court and Bradley. The citizens reported that a man was walking in the area firing a gun into the air, and gave a description of the subject. The officers located a subject fitting that description nearby. Upon conducting a terry pat down of that subject, a handgun was discovered in his pocket. Cocaine and marijuana were also located in his possession. The subject claimed to have a CPL, which was found to be false. That subject, Stanley Williams Jr (24), has since been charged and arraigned for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felony Firearm, Reckless Use of a Firearm, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana. Great job Officers and citizens. Working together we can make a difference!


Yesterday, a case that began in 2012 was concluded with a verdict from a jury....
On 10/30/12 at approx. 4pm, Flint Police along with the Michigan State Police and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 1600 block of Broad Court for a triple shooting. On scene it was discovered that during a Home Invasion, three male victims and one dog were shot. Two of the male victims were in critical condition and one was serious. All of the victims, including the dog survived their injuries.
Twin brothers, Jajuan and Trahuan Robinson, were later arrested and both were charged with three counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, Torturing/Maiming an Animal, 1st degree Home Invasion, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm.
Jajuan Robinson pled guilty to the charges, while Trahuan Robinson went to trial. The jury rendered a guilty verdict yesterday to all charges, with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder amended to Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm.
Jajuan Robinson is scheduled to be sentenced on 03/24/15 and Trahuan is scheduled to be sentenced on 04/07/15.

WANTED... On 12/03/14 a man was assaulted and robbed near 4600 blk. Western Rd. The investigation has led to charges being issued for Matthew Couture (47) for Unarmed Robbery and Assault and Battery. UPDATE... After review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office, additional charges have been issued for three subjects for the incident on 02/24/15 in which shots were fired at Flint Police Officers in the 6600 blk. Orange Ln. 

The following subjects have been charged and were arraigned yesterday for the listed charges. Ahrico Bradley (19) for Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm. Ernest Murray (18) for Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. Naomi Anthony (20) for Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm.

The Genesee County Prosecutor's Office have also ruled that shots fired by Flint Police Officers in this incident were a justifiable use of force.

On 03/03/15 at approx. 4pm Flint Police Officers responded for an Armed Robbery of a business in the 3600 blk. Corunna. While en route additional information was received from a citizen who saw the suspect leaving the business. The citizen advised the suspect's vehicle was stuck in a snow bank in the area of Corunna and Bradley. Michigan State Police troopers arrived at that location and took the suspect into custody. Cash that was believed to have been taken in the robbery was recovered.

As a result of the investigation it was determined that this suspect was the suspect in other robberies and attempted robberies that had occurred in the last two months. The suspect, Nathan Stevens (32) has been charged and arraigned for 2 counts of Armed Robbery and 2 counts of Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed.

UPDATE.... Four subjects have been arrested, charged and arraigned for incidents that occurred prior to and led up to the shots fired incident on Orange Lane that involved Flint Police Officers.
Derion Payne (17) has been charged and arraigned for Assault with Intent to Murder, Discharge of a Firearm in or at a Building and Felony Firearm for the incident on 02/23/15 in which shots were fired into a residence in the 6600 blk. Orange Lane.
The following subjects have been charged and arraigned for the listed charges for an incident shortly after the above incident on Orange Lane, in which shots were fired into a vehicle near Fleming an Barbara. It is believed that this was in retaliation for the earlier incident on Orange Lane. Ahrico Bradley (19) for Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm. Ernest Murray (18) for Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. Naomi Anthony (20) for Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm.
Additional charges for the incident on 02/24/15 involving shots fired with Flint Police Officers are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office.
