UPDATE... The Flint Police Department is pleased to announce that K9 Officer Edo has received his bullet resistant vest! The purchase of this important piece of safety equipment was made possible by the outpouring of support from the community. This all started when Flint Neighborhoods United began a Go Fund Me page to raise funds to purchase the vest, and was successful in raising those funds in less than 4 days. This support was followed by Sonitrol who have "adopted" Edo and now fund all of his veterinary and food costs. The Bikes on the Bricks and Back to the Bricks organizations stepped in and also donated funds. In support of our goal to expand the K9 Unit, The Machine Shop have announced that they will be hosting a concert in June to raise funds to purchase additional K9s. The entire Flint Police Department would like to thank everyone who has supported this effort, it is truly appreciated!
