Flint Township Police are asking for assistance to help identify suspects in recent cases in which property has been stolen from vehicles. The two subjects seen are believed to drive the full sized van and used credit cards stolen from a vehicle. The smaller van is another suspect vehicle and is believed to be driven by a white female. On January 15, shortly after 11:30 pm, Flint Police Officers Smith and Walker responded to the 800 block of Campbell in reference to a report of possible drug activity in a house that was believed to be condemned. There, the officers discovered six individuals who were actively cooking meth. The officers took the six subjects into custody, retreated from the house, and contacted FANG. The Flint Fire Department arrived on scene and stood by as a precaution while the FANG meth team neutralized and disposed of the components. Three of the subjects were lodged at the Flint City Jail. The other three were identified and released pending further investigation.
On 01/13/15 at approx. 8:30 pm, Flint Police responded to the area of Grand Traverse and 12th Street for a report of a man in a vehicle waving around a gun. Sgt. Campbell located the suspect vehicle and maintained a visual on the vehicle while awaiting backup. Once another Officer was on scene to assist, the suspect vehicle was stopped and the occupant, Cameron Jones (38), was arrested. Three hand guns were located and seized from the vehicle. Cameron Jones has since been charged and arraigned for 2 counts of Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felonious Assault for this incident. Great job Sgt. Campbell!
UPDATE... Keonte Sadler (27) was arrested yesterday by US Marshals in Arizona. Keonte and Marquel Sadler were wanted for 1st Degree Murder, Gang Member Felonies, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm for the Murder of Gregory Hodo (36) on 05/30/14 near Pierson and Fleming Rd. Marquel Sadler (23) turned himself in to Police in August 2014 and is in custody awaiting trial.
At approx. 9 am this morning there was a bank robbery at First Merit bank in downtown Flint. Officers from the Flint Police Special Operations Bureau were in the area and located the suspect within 10 minutes of the robbery and recovered the money taken from the bank. There were no injuries to any persons involved in this incident. Great Job Officers!
