Yesterday, a man was driving west bound on I 69 approaching the I 475 interchange when, due to a medical condition, he lost control of his vehicle. An alert commercial truck driver observed the man's car travelling dangerously back and forth between lanes of traffic. The commercial truck driver used his Freightliner vehicle as a blockade and slowed the man's vehicle to a stop before any other motorist were injured. The man was transported to the hospital and unfortunately died as a result of the medical condition. The Flint Police Department wanted to recognize this commercial truck driver for his quick response and actions that quickly ended a very dangerous situation.
