On 10/03/15 Flint Police teamed up with other local police and fire departments as mentors for Pictures of Hope. Pictures of Hope is a national program that donates cameras to children allowing them to capture photographs that represent their hopes and dreams. The children's photographs will be used to create greeting cards and all proceeds from the sales of the cards created by Flint children go to Shelter of Flint.
Captain Golden teamed up with Flintstone Morris Peterson and took two of the children, whose dreams were to be doctors, to Hurley Medical Center. The children took photographs with their new cameras and a doctor spoke with them about their dream.
