At approx. 2am this morning, shots were fired into a residence in the 2800 blk. Mackin. There were no injuries. Officers were able to obtain a description of a suspect and later located and arrested that suspect. The suspect was lodged in jail and charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office.

On 08/26/14 Flint Police Officers went to the area of 1600 blk. W. Atherton Rd in an attempt to locate a subject that had Felony warrants with a total of 19 charges (including 10 counts of Assault with Intent to Murder and 3 counts of Carrying a Concealed Weapon). The subject was located and arrested. A gun was also seized and additional charges will be sought for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm.

Benjamin Boyd (24) is currently WANTED for Discharge of a Firearm in or at a Building, Discharge of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Witness Intimidation and Felony Firearm for an incident that occurred last month. He is also currently out on bond while awaiting trial for Felonious Assault, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. Daniel Buchanan (20) was arrested yesterday by the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team which is comprised of Law Enforcement personnel from several agencies including the Flint Police. He was arraigned today on a charge of Armed Robbery for an incident which occurred in December 2013 in the 2000 blk. McPhail.
On 08/25/14 at approx. 7:30am Flint Police Officers responded to a man with a gun call in the 2200 blk. Welch Blvd. On scene, Officers located a subject who is a convicted felon. Officers also located a stolen handgun nearby that appeared as though someone had attempted to hide it. The subject was lodged in jail and charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office.

Andrew Shields Jr. (19) and Jasminika Topp (21) have been arrested, charged and arraigned for an incident that occurred on 08/18/14 in the 3100 blk. Chambers. Shields was charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. Topp was charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm.

UPDATE: Both young ladies have been located. Both girls are safe and unharmed.
The Flint Police Department is asking for your help in locating these two young ladies who are missing from their home in the 900 blk of Dupont St. Merchandise was stolen from the home and both ladies (who are cousins), have been reported as endangered missing.
The first young lady in glasses and also in the pink outfit is Destanasia Hoyl. She is 5'2, 160lbs, with brown eyes and black hair.
The second victim is Destoni Bowman. She is 5'3, 160, brown eyes black hair. Both ladies are 14 years of age.

Yesterday the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team, who is comprised of law enforcement personnel from several agencies including the Flint Police, arrested Kevin Spence. He was wanted for 2 counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Domestic Violence as the result of an incident on 07/23/14. He also had warrants for failure to appear for court for Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, 2 counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Aggravated Domestic Violence, Joyriding, and Malicious Destruction of Property as the result of an incident on 12/22/13.
On 08/19/14 at approx. 11pm, Flint Police Officers received a call in the Evergreen Regency Apartments for shots fired. Officers observed a vehicle in the area matching the description given and stopped the vehicle. A subject who attempted to walk away from the vehicle was arrested and a hand gun was seized. The subject was also found to be a convicted felon and in possession of individually wrapped baggies of suspected crack cocaine. The subject was lodged in jail and charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office.

On August 8, 2014, Flint Police Officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 500 block of South Meade Street in the city of Flint. Officers discovered a 79 year old male later identified as Jimmie Allison deceased in his home, a victim of an apparent gunshot wound. Within hours, detectives arrested three subjects in connection with this crime. On August 12, 2014, all three subjects were formally charged in Michigan's 68th District Court with Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, Home Invasion in the First Degree and being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. A press conference is being held at the Flint Police Department later today to provide further details.

The City of Flint is enacting the special events curfew for Back to the Bricks. The curfew applies to unsupervised minors 17 years of age and younger for the hours between 6pm – 6am each day, beginning on Tuesday evening and ending Sunday morning. The special event boundary for this curfew will be from 5th Avenue on the North to I-69 on the South and from Chavez Drive on the East to Church Street on the West. The north border includes the north east corner of Saginaw and 5th Ave. Please see the attached map and press release for further information.

On 08/06/14 a woman reported to the Flint Police that she had been Carjacked at gun point. A police report was filed and the vehicle description was disseminated. On 08/07/14 Flint Police officers who were working Patrol located the vehicle. Additional units were called to assist including members of GAIN (Genesee Auto-theft Investigation Network). The vehicle was stopped and three suspects were arrested and lodged in jail. Charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office this afternoon.
Flint Police are still seeking information about the whereabouts of Keonte Sadler (27) and Marquel Sadler (23). They are wanted for the murder of Gregory Hodo on 05/30/14 near Pierson and Fleming. In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward there is an additional reward of $5,000 offered by the ATF for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Keonte Sadler. Their tip line is 1-800-ATF-GUNS.

On 8/3/14 at approx. 5:30 am, Flint Police responded to the
area of Pasadena and Industrial for a man down that had been struck by a
vehicle. The victim, Robert Mayers (39)
died from his injuries. The investigation
determined that the victim was intentionally struck with a vehicle. The following day, a suspect was arrested and
a vehicle was seized. That suspect,
Renaldo Presswood (34), has now been charged and arraigned for 1st Degree
Murder.
