On 7/29/2015, members of the Flint Police Department in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Clayton Township Police Department and the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant on the south side of the City of Flint in support of an investigation being conducted by Clayton Township PD of a home invasion in their jurisdiction. Upon entry, officers detained a three-time convicted felon. The subsequent search of the residence produced 14 stolen firearms and a short barreled rifle. The subject being detained was arrested for multiple weapons related offenses and is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.To date, three people have been arrested in connection with this case. One will be charged in state court and two in federal court. There are still weapons from the original theft that have not been recovered.
