On 7/29/2015, members of the Flint Police Department in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Clayton Township Police Department and the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant on the south side of the City of Flint in support of an investigation being conducted by Clayton Township PD of a home invasion in their jurisdiction. Upon entry, officers detained a three-time convicted felon. The subsequent search of the residence produced 14 stolen firearms and a short barreled rifle. The subject being detained was arrested for multiple weapons related offenses and is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.To date, three people have been arrested in connection with this case. One will be charged in state court and two in federal court. There are still weapons from the original theft that have not been recovered. THIS JUST IN…
The "Stop the Silence" 3 on 3 basketball committee just announced that the make-up date for 2015 basketball tournament is September 26th! The tournament will move to Saginaw and 5th Ave.
Team registration begins on the morning of September 26th at 8 AM and closes at 9:30 AM.
Metals will be awarded to each member of the winning team in their bracket. A team (NBA quality) stop the silence basketball will be awarded to the winning team in each bracket (one per winning team).
Free T-shirts will be given to the first 50 teams that sign-up on the morning of the tournament.
Ages; 7 to 24 years old.
Cost; Pledge to stop the silence
The competitive 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held on the same day and near the location (on the campus of the University Michigan – Flint) of the Flint Touch-A-Truck.
This tournament is presented by area law-enforcement in partnership with ELGA CU, Walmart, University of Michigan – Flint Student Government, Genesee Packing Company and many many other wonderful organizations and businesses.

On 07/21/15 Flint Police responded to the 3000 blk. N. Saginaw for a Breaking and Entering at a business. The owner reported that upon arriving to the store to open, he discovered that the business had been broken into while closed. Flint Police Officers viewed video surveillance of the incident and recognized the suspect in the video. A few moments later the suspect was seen walking in the area and was arrested. That suspect, Embra Middleton (20) has now been charged and arraigned for Breaking and Entering a Building. Great job Officer Hall!
On 7/18/15 Flint Police took a report of a Criminal Sexual Conduct that occurred in the 4300 blk. Western Rd. The investigation led to a suspect being arrested a couple of days later. That suspect, Randy Haddock (57), has now been charged and arraigned for 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Injury to Incapacitated Victim, 2nd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Injury to Incapacitated Victim, 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Injury to Incapacitated Victim, and 4th Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Injury to Incapacitated Victim.

On 07/10/15 at approx. 10:20 pm Flint Police responded to the 2100 blk. Stedron for a shooting. On scene, two victims were located, one of which had been shot and was in critical condition. Several nearby vehicles were also struck by gunfire. The investigation led to the identification of a suspect who was later arrested. That suspect, Ricky Culberson Jr. (25), has now been charged and arraigned for two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Second Offense Felony Firearm, and 2 counts of Malicious Destruction of Personal Property.
Early this morning, Flint Police responded to an alarm at a business in the 800 blk. Welch. On scene, there was fresh damage of forced entry into the business. K9 Officer Edo was deployed into the business and located a suspect who was hiding inside. The suspect was arrested and lodged in jail. Charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office. Great job Edo and fellow Officers!
