On 11/19/14 at approx. 9pm a man reported that he was walking in the area of Stevenson and 5th Ave when a subject approached him and demanded money. The subject was armed with a handgun and assaulted the victim. Flint Police arrived on scene and tracked the subject to a house nearby. Upon gaining entry into the house, the subject was found hiding inside and was arrested. Several other subjects in the house were found to have warrants and were also arrested. Deondre Stewart (25) has since been charged and arraigned for this incident for Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer and Felony Firearm.
