This Memorial Day weekend The City of Flint Police Department and UofM Flint Department of Public Safety teamed up to say "Thank You" to those in the United States Military who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

On 05/21/15 Flint Police responded to the 2800 blk. Branch for a reported suicide. The investigation determined that the victim, Kayla MacGregor (24), was the victim of a homicide. Jason Wilson (35) has been arrested, charged and arraigned in this case for Open Murder.

WANTED.... On 04/10/15 Flint Police responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that she was at a gas station on the city's north side when she was approached by two women known to her. The victim reported that the two women assaulted her with a baseball bat, stole her purse and broke out the windows of her vehicle. The assault ended when the victim's mother arrived on scene and, along with a good samaritan, intervened at which time the suspects fled the scene. The victim had several injuries as a result of the incident.

The investigation has led to charges being issued against two suspects who are now WANTED. Chyna Kemp (21) is wanted for Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Malicious Destruction of Property, Identity Theft and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Zawntakia Kemp (26) is wanted for Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm and Malicious Destruction of Property. UPDATE.... A second person has been charged in the murder of David Fuller (26) which occurred on 04/21/15. David Fuller was shot and killed in the 1800 blk. W. Genesee St. while delivering pizzas for Cottage Inn. Today, Ahquan Lay (22) was charged and arraigned in this case for 1st Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Gang Membership Felonies, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, and Felony Firearm. Ahquan Lay has been in police custody since 04/23/15 for additional weapons charges. Previously, Kevin Thompson Jr (18) has also been charged and arraigned in this case for 1st Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Gang Membership Felonies, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm.

On 05/16/15 at approx. 5:40pm Flint Police responded to the 4200 blk. Wisner for a shooting. The victim, Cecil Nuby Jr. (45), was found to have a fatal gunshot wound. A suspect was arrested on scene and a firearm was recovered. The suspect, Cecil Nuby Sr. (76), has now been charged and arraigned in this case for 1st Degree Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition and Felony Firearm.

On 05/10/15 at approx. 2:40am Flint Police responded to the 200 blk. E. Pierson Rd for a shooting. The victim, Jason Missentzis (37), was transported to the hospital where he later died. On 05/13/15 an attempt to locate a suspect in this case led to a stand off between the suspect and police in Grand Blanc Township. The stand off ended peacefully, with the suspect taken into custody. That suspect, Anthony Kennedy (28) has now been charged and arraigned for 1st Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Felony Firearm and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.
