On 11/11/14, Flint Police conducted a special initiative targeting prostitution in the City of Flint. Several subjects were arrested as a result of that initiative. As of today, one of those subjects, Gregory Curry (30) has been charged and arraigned for Soliciting Prostitution.

UPDATE... The 2 subjects arrested on this incident (previous post copied below) have now been charged and arraigned. Chamire Burt (19) was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Discharge of a Firearm from Vehicle and Felony Firearm. Latonya Jones (18) was charged with Discharge of a Firearm from Vehicle.

On 11/23/14 at approx. 2pm Flint Police were dispatched to the area of Milbourne and Stevenson for a large fight. Ofc. Essix arrived on scene and he observed a male shooting multiple shots while leaning out of a window of a vehicle. Fortunately, no one was struck by these bullets. Officer Essix took the subject who he observed shooting into custody and the driver of the vehicle was also arrested. A stolen handgun was seized. Charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office. Great job Officer Essix!

On 11/23/14 at approx. 2pm Flint Police were dispatched to the area of Milbourne and Stevenson for a large fight. Upon arrival of the 1st Officer on scene, he observed a male shooting multiple shots while leaning out of a window of a vehicle Fortunately, no one was struck by these bullets. The Officer took the subject who he observed shooting into custody and the driver of the vehicle was also arrested. A stolen handgun was also seized. Charges are pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office. Great job Officer!
On 11/19/14 at approx. 9pm a man reported that he was walking in the area of Stevenson and 5th Ave when a subject approached him and demanded money. The subject was armed with a handgun and assaulted the victim. Flint Police arrived on scene and tracked the subject to a house nearby. Upon gaining entry into the house, the subject was found hiding inside and was arrested. Several other subjects in the house were found to have warrants and were also arrested. Deondre Stewart (25) has since been charged and arraigned for this incident for Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer and Felony Firearm. Great job to all Officers involved!


The 2 subjects that were arrested last week following the Robbery at the Family Dollar in the 2700 blk. Fenton Rd have now been charged and arraigned. Darnell Skinner (17) and Eshiaya Arkwright (17) have both been charged with Armed Robbery, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. On Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at approximately 4:25 p.m., a dark blue Impala was stopped at a train crossing at the corner of Davison and Branch Rd. Multiple shots were fired into the vehicle striking the driver, who is recovering from his injuries. On 02/26/14 at approx. 7pm in the 100 blk. E. Eldridge, a man was shot during a robbery. The investigation resulted in a suspect being identified and charges being issued for that suspect. The suspect, Darnell Skinner (17), was recently arrested and has been arraigned for Armed Robbery, Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm.
